In order to complete the necessary preparations for participation in the first university festival for Arabic poetry, Al-Noor University College assigned a group of creative figures to assess talented students and select qualified participants for the festival. This committee, responsible for testing the students and listening to them recite their poems, included Professor Thanoon Al-Ataraqchi, Dr. Haider Mahmoud Abdul Razzaq, and Mr. Maysar Qasim Al-Khashab, all well-known poets. The examination was overseen by Professor Zuhair Al-Khashab, the Director of the Student Activities Department at the college, with coordination by Mr. Thamer Maayouf, the person in charge of cultural and artistic activities in the department.
