In cooperation between the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul, Al-Noor University College, the German Authority for Cultural Exchange, and the German Martin Luther University Halle, and within the Iraqi-German Academic Partnership Program, a workshop on new horizons for developing higher education in Iraq in the field of physical education and sports sciences was held for the period from 26/1/2019/ 26 until 28/1/2019.. This workshop was held at the Cultural Center of Salahaddin University in Erbil.
It was attended by representatives of the presidents of five Iraqi universities and a number of colleges and sports institutions. It was also attended by Prof. Dr. Yassin Taha Al-Hajjar, Dean of Al-Noor University College, and Prof. Dr. Zuhair Al-Khashab, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Noor University. Its opening session was moderated by the Iraqi journalist Thamer Mayouf, Director of Media, Al-Noor University College.
