Benefits of exposure to sunlight and vitamin D3

Dr.Walaa Abdel Wahed Abdel Aziz Al-Jawadi, who holds a doctorate in life sciences and teaches in the Department of Optical Techniques at Al-Noor University College, presented a research within program of seminars on vitamin D3 deficiency

She explained that the deficiency occurs as a result of insufficient exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays as a primary source, eating foodstuffs such as milk and dairy products, cheese and butter, as well as marine fish as a second source. She pointed out the symptoms, which are osteoporosis in adults and osteoporosis in children, as well as severe fatigue and muscle and bone pain
