Pollution magazine, which is located within the Scopus containers in the third quarter and within the Clarvet containers has published a research by a professor Asst. Lect. Taha Yassin Weiss at the Department of Anesthesiology in Al-Noor University College which is entitled
“Assessment of the Pollution of some Heavy Metals in the Sediments of the Tigris River in the City of Mosul- Northern Iraq “
In cooperation with a research team from Mosul University and Qassim University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The research has talked about the study of contamination of the sediments of the Tigris River within the borders of Mosul with some heavy metals which is represented by cobalt, copper, cadmium, lead, zinc and nickel as the concentrations of the studied minerals were higher than the internationally accepted values studied, but not at the level that causes concern now says.
