A group of professors from Al-Noor University College visited the Intravenous Solutions Factory in Nineveh, which is affiliated with the General Company for Pharmaceutical Industry and Medical Supplies. A joint meeting was held between the factory management and the professors, followed by a field trip to inspect the various departments and units, including the Quality Control Department. During the visit, the professors learned about the work procedures and methods used in inspecting raw materials and the final product.
The visit concluded with a set of proposals aimed at continuing joint scientific visits, organizing workshops within the factory led by its staff and attended by professors from the college. Additionally, agreements were made to foster scientific cooperation, conduct joint research, jointly supervise final-year students' research projects at Al-Noor University College, and exchange hosting study circles. It was also agreed that Dr. Ikram Abdullah Bashir, the factory manager, would deliver a lecture at Al-Noor University College on counterfeit drugs at the beginning of 2020 as part of the study circles. Another study circle will be conducted by Dr. Fuad Khalil Ibrahim, discussing the constitutional methods in drug testing.
