Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, announced the response of both governmental and private universities to the objectives of sustainable development and their commitment to the development plan with its time horizon extending to the year 2030.
During the launch event of the first national report on sustainable development, the minister outlined the sequence of universities' response and their readiness to adopt the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System, while also highlighting UNESCO's praise for the adoption of the Bologna Process in Iraqi universities. He emphasized focusing on the centrality of the student, empowering them with practical tools, and enhancing qualifications, which vividly reflects the rise in the quality index of education within university institutions.
