Two teachers from Al-Noor University College were honored by the Iraqi University in the festival of honoring the pioneering professors in English language and literature. They are Prof. Dr. Mohammed Basil Qasim Al-Azzawi, the professor in the Department of English Language, and the Assistant Professor Dr. Ismail Abdulwahab, Head of the Department of English Language, where each of them received the festival shield with a certificate of appreciation in appreciation of their scientific efforts.

Professor Ahmed Yahya Dalal Bashi, the instructor in the Department of Pharmacy at Al-Noor University College, chaired the discussion committee of the master’s thesis submitted by the student Mays Muzahim Qassem Al-Khayat to the Pharmaceutical Branch of the College of Medicine at Mosul University under the title (The effect of Carbimazole on oxidative stress and some inflammatory markers in hyperthyroid patients). Prof. Dr. Talal Hamid Al-Salman, Head of the Dentistry Department at Al-Noor University College, chaired the discussion committee for the master’s thesis entitled: (Effect of two thicknesses, yttria ratio and artificial aging on fracture resistance of laminated zirconia veneer restorations), which was presented by the student (Ali Dahi Malallah Younes to the Conservative Treatment Branch at the College of Dentistry at the University of Mosul on Thursday, December 2, 2021 in the auditorium Prof. Dr. Tahani Abdulaziz Al-Sandaq in the building of the Deanship of the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul. The thesis dealt with the use of tri-yttria, penta-yttria, triple-yttria zirconium oxide combined together and lithium silicate material for the purpose of comparing and evaluating the effect of two different thicknesses, yttria percentage and aging time on the fracture resistance of laminated zirconia veneer. The results showed that the thickness of the laminate veneer restorations significantly affects the fracture resistance value of all laminate veneer restorations and the yttria ratio. Artificial aging has a negative effect on the fracture resistance of zirconia-based laminate veneer restorations except for laminate veneers of the type that combines triple and pentagonal yttria together. The discussion committee included: Assistant Professor Dr. Wiam Mohamed Omar from Mosul University and Lect. Dr. Abduladhim Raouf Suleiman from University of Mosul, and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Nadia Hamid Hassan The thesis was accepted after minor modifications. [...]

Al-Noor University College holds a graduation ceremony for students of the fifth session

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdulsahib, and in the presence of a number of officials in Nineveh Governorate, Al-Noor University College held a graduation ceremony for students of the fifth session on Thursday afternoon 28/10/2021, for the department of Law, Physical Education & Sports Sciences, English Language and Medical Laboratory Techniques Where the ceremonies began with the playing of the national anthem, then the graduation parades entered, starting with the flags holders, then the graduates, and finally the college council. After that, Prof. Dr. Yaseen Taha Al-Hajar gave a speech to the graduates, followed by student Zaid Hadi to give the alumni's speech. Then, the ceremonies for awarding academic degrees to the graduates took place. The heads of departments requested the Dean of the college to grant degrees to the students of their departments, and the Dean granted them the degrees. Prof. Dr. Samir Khalaf Abdullah, Dean Assistant for Scientific Affairs, recited the graduation oath, which all the graduates recited after him. The top three students in each department were honored. Then the ceremony ended with the flag handover ceremony in which one of the graduates handed over the flag to a student from the previous stages. [...]
