The environment and its risks in a meeting organized by the Women's Affairs Department at Alnoor University

The Women’s Affairs Department at Alnoor University Presidency organized an awareness event on the morning of Monday, October 13, 2025, entitled (The Environment and Its Risks )The event included a seminar, a training course, and a workshop, in addition to an exhibition of awareness posters addressing various topics related to climate change and its impacts.
The meeting was moderated by Dr. Walaa Abdul Wahid Aljawadi, Director of the Women's Affairs Department, who emphasized in her speech the importance of promoting environmental awareness within the university community, particularly regarding the role of women in addressing climate challenges and preserving resource sustainability.
Several female faculty members participated in the meeting. Dr. Sajida Sharif Hassan discussed temperature, water, and diseases as part of the hidden climate risks to women’s health. Dr. Walaa Abdul Wahid Aljawadi addressed the role of women in confronting climate change and raising awareness of the climate crisis. The meeting concluded with a lecture by Dr. Muna Taher Alnaftachi, who presented a talk on renewable energy as a solution to the climate crisis.
This activity is part of a series of events organized by the Women’s Affairs Department at Alnoor University, aimed at promoting environmental awareness and empowering women to play an active role in achieving sustainable development.
