Alnoor University showcases rare artifacts of the old city of Mosul through a distinguished scientific lecture
The Department of Archaeological Tourism organized College of arts, At Alnoor University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at the university, a workshop titled (Investigating Archaeological Treasures in the Old City of Mosul) was held on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Ahmed Qasim Aljummah, Head of the Department of Archaeological Tourism at the college, where he reviewed the most important archaeological treasures found in the Old City of Mosul, highlighting their historical and cultural value, as well as ways to preserve and maintain them. The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and students interested in archaeological affairs, who actively engaged with the lecture topics through questions and scholarly discussions. This event comes as part of Alnoor University’s efforts to promote awareness of cultural heritage and to emphasize the importance of preserving the civilizational legacy of the city of Mosul.
