On 1977, he had been appointed as teaching assistant in Physics Department / College of Science / Mosul University. On 1982, he got MSc Degree from Dundee University/ UK. Then worked in Education College as Assistant Lecturer, and teaching Physics subjects in different departments. Also accomplished many researches which helped him to be a Lecturer. On 1999, he was awarded Ph.D. degree from Mosul university in Thin Film Transistor, and by doing researches in Semiconductor field he became an Assistant Professor. He supervised 2 Ph.D. students and 7 MSc students. he was Head of Physics Department for 4 years and retired in 2017. Currently, he is head of Optical Techniques Department at Al-Noor University College. He gives lectures in Medical Physics.
