Asst. Prof. Dr.Ali Ashkar Abd Hussein

Dr. Ali Ashkar Abd joined Al-Noor University College in January 2020 to teach the subject Human Histology . He obtained a doctorate degree in histology and anatomy from the University of Mosul in 1998, after which he worked as a teacher and researcher in the College of Education for Pure Sciences/Department of Life Sciences, during which he taught histology to bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students for more than thirty consecutive years until he retired. He participated in more than fifty scientific conferences, symposia, and workshops, and supervised more than one hundred graduation research for fourth-year students. He supervised seven master’s students and seven doctoral theses in the field of histology. He published 66 research papers in various international, local and Arab journals. From 1978 until 1987, he worked as a teacher and director of schools in the General Directorate of Nineveh Education. After obtaining his master’s degree, he transferred to the University of Mosul in 1987 and studied several practical subjects. It included ( histology, comparative anatomy, vertebrates, physiology, insects, embryos...) and he supervised in the field dozens of students in the final stages during their application in secondary schools. He was a member of the Council of the College of Education for seven years, a member of the Council of the Life Sciences Department in the same college, and a registrar for the college. For several years, he was chairman and member of several committees at the college and university
