Prof. Dr.Samera Mohammed Yahya

Prof. Dr. Samera Mohammed Yahya graduated from the College of Science/Department of Chemistry/University of Mosul in 1982, with a third grade, and started at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul on 26/2/1983. She obtained a master's degree in biochemistry in 1990 and a doctorate in biochemistry in 2000 from the College of Science, University of Mosul. She obtained the scientific title of assistant professor in 2007 and the title of professor on 2/2/2020. She taught theoretical and practical general chemistry to first-stage students and theoretical and practical biochemistry to second-stage students, and taught advanced biochemistry, clinical chemistry, and life technology to diploma, master’s, and doctoral students for various specializations in the College of Veterinary Medicine, and prepared the practical biochemistry pamphlet for the second stage in 2012. She taught biochemistry to students in the third and fourth stages in the College of Education for Girls for two consecutive years, 2011 and 2012. I participated in discussion committees for many master’s and doctoral theses in the specializations of biochemistry, medicine, and physiology, and many committees for the comprehensive examination for doctoral students and the competitive examination for admission to graduate studies. I conducted large numbers of scientific research for the purpose of publication in scientific journals or for the purpose of scientific promotion, and I supervised two master’s theses in the specialty of biochemistry and veterinary for the years 2007 and 2009. In the year 2015, she transferred her services to the College of Medicine/Iraqi University in Baghdad Governorate and taught theoretical and practical biochemistry, preparing the practical pamphlet for the first stage, and teaching theoretical and practical clinical biochemistry for the second stage. She was referred for retirement on 24/3/2021 and started at Al-Noor University College on 8/5/2021 and taught theoretical biochemistry to second-year students in the departments of medical laboratory techniques and dentistry. She received many books of thanks, published 15 research papers in local and international scientific journals, and participated in many conferences, seminars and training courses as a lecturer or as an attendee. She participated in the membership and presidency of many committees in the colleges in which I worked, such as the scientific and examination committees, student discipline, psychological counseling, and chemical materials inventory, for different years. A member of the ARID Scientific and a member of the Society Of Clinical Biochemistry.
