Associate Prof. Dr Omar Sarheed is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, University of Central Lancashire, UK. He has received a PhD in Formulation and Drug Delivery in 2008 from the University of Strathclyde, UK and a BSc (Pharmacy) from Baghdad University in 2001. His research interests are primarily focused on developing novel drug delivery systems such as nanoparticles and nanoemulsions. On the front of wound management, he has interests in the development of polymeric films and wafers for topical application of potential antibiotics. Dr Sarheed has published widely in formulation development and drug delivery and has more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals and two textbook chapters. He has worked as a reviewer for reputed peer-reviewed journals such as International Journal of Pharmaceutics, Carbohydrates Polymer, Carbohydrates Polymer and Carbohydrates Polymer.
