On Thursday morning, 2/5/2024, the German delegation for the Cultural Heritage Digitization Project, as part of a collaborative program between Brandenburg University and Mosul University, visited Al-Noor University. They met with the university's president, Professor Dr. Yassin Taha Al-Hajjar, and the chairman of the board of trustees. The guests were given a tour of the university to explore its clinics, laboratories, halls, and radio station, Al-Noor FM. Additionally, some members of the delegation participated in interviews on the radio station. Later, the German delegation enjoyed a tour of the left bank and the old city aboard an open-top tour bus provided by the university.

With the presence of Professor Dr. Yassin Taha Al-Hajjar, the College of Engineering at Al-Noor University, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Department at the university's presidency, organized a panel discussion on climate change and the reality of Mosul Dam. The event took place at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, 30/4/2024, in Room D1 of the Laboratory Building. The session began with a speech by Professor Dr. Yassin Taha Al-Hajjar, followed by a lecture by Assistant Professor Dr. Kamel Ali Abdel-Mohsen on Mosul Dam, discussing its benefits and risks. This was followed by a lecture by Assistant Lecturer Saad Salih Thiab on the effects of climate change on Mosul Dam Lake. Professor Dr. Khazal Fathi Zidan, the Dean of the College of Education at Al-Noor University, chaired a thesis defense committee for the doctoral dissertation presented by the student Shah Wabu Faraj Hameed to the College of Languages at Salahaddin University. The dissertation was titled 'Mechanisms of Discourse in Ibn Muti's Al-Fiyyah,' supervised by Professor Dr. Ashwaq Mohammed Ismail Al-Najjar.
