The Department of Pharmacy at Al-Noor University College was established in the academic year 2018-10-29 in order to participate in the development and education of various pharmaceutical sciences to serve the governmental and private health and pharmaceutical sectors. The duration of study in the department is five years, after which the graduate will obtain a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy. The pharmacy department is considered an essential pillar of the medical group departments. It has professors with experience and high practice in pharmaceutical specializations, such as pharmacology and therapeutics, medical pharmacology, toxicology, clinical pharmacy, drug chemistry and other supporting sciences related to basic pharmacy such as human biology, biostatistics, histology and medical physics. The buildings of Al-Noor University College contain listed halls for theoretical study and various laboratories for the Department of Pharmacy students in theoretical and scientific materials that suits the units of the curriculum. These halls and laboratories are equipped with the latest teaching aids and materials needed for laboratories.
To train and prepare empowered human potentials having the highest levels of knowledge, pharmaceutical and medical skills. That in turn enables the efficient, effective and safe use and prescription of medication, as well as developing the best practices of drug manufacturing and the various modern methods of supplying and sending them through the available legal channels.
To train professional, high skilled and well- qualified pharmacists to offer the society the best pharmaceutical services through the graduated personnel and guarantee professional and humanitarian attitudes.
First - The Pharmacy Department aims to prepare scientifically and practically qualified pharmaceutical cadres to support this specialty throughout the country that leads to the improvement of pharmaceutical and health services to the community and achieve safety and wellness of individual and family.
Second - Organizing scientific activities such as seminars, courses, lectures and scientific research that enhance the students' experience in cooperation and coordination with the relevant authorities.
Third - Developing the skills and attainment of the teaching staff through their dedication to conducting scientific research and actively participating in postgraduate studies and in specialized courses and seminars
The graduate of the Department of Pharmacy is qualified to work in pharmacies in hospitals, clinics, government health centers, and in private pharmacies, because he has the scientific qualification to know the types of medicines and their prescriptions, interfering and uses..and this knowledge protects the patient and leads him to achieve the maximum benefit from the medicine.. Also, the graduate is a consultant to the people in his surroundings.
