The Department of Arabic Language at Al-Noor University College was one of the first departments that were established in 2013-2014, and the study was based on the approaches followed in the faculties of education in all universities of Iraq. Over the courses of four years, students are given lessons in Arabic grammar and literature to be qualified to teach Arabic in intermediate and preparatory schools to connect its present status to the ancient past and its literary heritage and its prosperous ages.
The department of Arabic language aspires to strengthen creativity among students of the Arabic language. Moreover, its use is not limited to general life purposes, but also to nurture generations of talents in all linguistic and literary fields that emulate the creativity of civilized nations.
The department aspires to prepare scientifically and culturally qualified generation connected to the heritage of nations, keen to promote the language in its spoken and written forms, capable of enhancing its position among the languages of the modern world. Language is a machine of thought that secures its expression and development. And since thought is renewable, the language must also be developed in the capabilities and performance fields in order to be qualified to transmit and develop new ideas.
the most important task of the Department of Arabic Language at Al-Noor University College is to graduate qualified teachers who rise in linguistic and literary knowledge educationally and culturally to serve the community and develop education at all academic levels. It also aims to raise a generation of new teachers whose mission is not limited to transferring knowledge to their students, but also to be able to manage the educational process and promote creativity in all its literary and scientific aspects. Additionally, Its other task is to provide educational institutions with Arabic language specialists hoping to transcend it from vulgarity and stagnation and make it robust when it is spoken and in books. Accordingly, it becomes popular at an acceptable level among the various sectors of society.
