This department has been established in the academic year 2021-2022, it is a modern specialty - only found at Al-Noor University College. It's established to prepare engineers who are able to create a harmony between civil engineering and project management. The department provides courses related to these two specializations that urban projects combine.
The vision of this department is to:- • Understand the need of the country for construction engineering and project management, • Prepare cadres capable of comprehending the realistic image • Invent new formats in line with reality, • Ensure that the department would be distinguished and pioneering in the field of construction engineering and project management.
Preparing reliable and capable national cadres equipped with the required knowledge and reliable in the field of work and preparing qualified engineers who have the ability to use all modern methods designing, implementing and managing engineering projects and the activating production units related to the production of construction materials and ready-made construction systems.
Objectives
Preparing cadres that preserve the local architectural styles , working on enriching them and inventing new styles that add to the place a more glamorous and effective presence are the main goals of this department which can be achieved through the following:
- • Contributing to the provision of efficient engineering cadres to meet the country's needs and to contribute to achieving the goals of scientific and economic development in the country.
- • A continuous development of the academic curricula, with its practical and theoretical parts, in line with the practical development of all stages and levels of study which are necessary to keep pace with developments in the field of construction techniques and project management.
- •Conducting scientific and applied research for development in the field of construction engineering and project management which also contribute to solving operational problems in the field of construction and management
- • Preparing engineering cadres who have the ability to manage the operation of specialized production units
- • Linking the field of construction and management with the field of information technologies to introduce modern technologies in the areas of design, implementation and project management.
- • Providing scientific courses in the field of construction engineering and project management and opening up to relevant public sector institutions which are important to develop and build engineering cadres.
- Striving and continuing to improve and develop performance in the engineering, scientific and administrative fields to achieve comprehensive quality assurance and speed up obtaining academic accreditation.
Contributing in the plans preparation and all construction contracting documents for all engineering projects using computer technologies through modern engineering software.
Contributing in the supervision and implementation of all work items related to engineering projects in buildings, bridges, roads, airports, tunnels, dams, hydraulic installations, construction units, factory units, and pre-stressed concrete units
