Alnoor University Library
The University Library is regarded as one of the fundamental pillars supporting the academic journey. Without it, it would be difficult for students to accomplish their research and study tasks. The library serves as a vital source of knowledge for learners and scholars alike. Therefore, Alnoor University has established a library that houses a wide collection of books covering various disciplines, sciences, and literature, in addition to master's theses, doctoral dissertations, international journals, and periodicals. The library is continuously supplied with the latest books and academic curricula through multiple sources. Some materials are provided by the college deanships, while others are received as gifts and donations from faculty members, administrative staff, students, or other contributing entities. This ensures that these valuable resources remain readily accessible to students, researchers, and all beneficiaries seeking knowledge.
The library follows an open-shelf system, allowing users to have close access to the books relevant to their fields of study or those closely related to them, instead of the formalities imposed by the closed-shelf system. The library is divided into various sections and specializations, including medical and scientific books and research, law and political science books, Arabic language and literature, novels, sports and physical activities, psychology, and religious books.
The university library consists of a spacious hall with several tables, which students visit daily in search of peace and quiet. They spend most of their time there to study, review their curricula, or enjoy their free time reading novels, stories, and the like.
As part of its ongoing efforts to further develop the library's operations, Alnoor University is working to electronically archive its books as an initial step toward establishing a digital library that will house the latest international editions of books and reference materials.
