Scientific Affairs Department
The Scientific Affairs Department is one of the key departments at Alnoor University. Its responsibilities include registering, tracking, and organizing the scientific research conducted by the university’s teaching staff in coordination with the relevant academic departments and the Quality Assurance Unit at Alnoor University. Another important task of the Scientific Affairs Department is to oversee the publication of applied and academic research papers and articles that have been submitted to both international and local journals and websites.
Establishing a database for scientific research submitted by Alnoor University faculty, based on the name of the principal researcher, the participants, the title of the research, the journal or website where it was published (international or local), and the publication date.
Monitoring the accounts and articles of Alnoor University faculty published on the Google Scholar platform.
Providing a service for checking and detecting plagiarism in research submitted by university faculty using the Turnitin plagiarism detection program. This is done by sending a PDF copy of the research intended for publication to the Scientific Affairs Department via the department's official email: [email protected]. After the research is reviewed by the department through the Turnitin program, the researcher will be provided with a report on the plagiarism percentage in the research.
Tracking predatory journals and those excluded from Scopus databases.
Referring officially registered research at the Scientific Affairs Department, published in local and international journals, to the Research Strengthening Committee. This committee evaluates the level of the published research to determine the eligibility for financial rewards for researchers and reimburses publication fees according to regulations.
