Al-Noor University held its first annual celebration marking its transformation into a university. The event was attended by the President of the Technical Education Authority, as well as the presidents of Al-Ain, Middle Technical, Mosul, Nineveh, Northern Technical, and Hamdaniya universities, along with several vice presidents, deans of colleges, security and administrative officials, and department managers. Dr. Yassin Taha Al-Hajjar, the President of Al-Noor University, delivered a speech on the occasion, followed by a video presentation introducing the university. Shields were then presented to the university presidents, and bouquets of flowers were exchanged between the universities and the Iraqi Journalists Union in Nineveh, in the presence of its media president, Hassan Rashkri, who presented the union's shield to the university along with an expressive painting. In return, the President of Al-Noor University presented the university's shield to the union. Subsequently, a charity market, organized by the university students, was inaugurated as part of the celebration.
