Alnoor University Holds an Awareness Session to Avoid the Emergence of Monkeypox.

Alnoor University, in collaboration with the College of Health and Medical Technologies and the Continuing Education Department, organized an awareness session on monkeypox prevention on Monday, September 16, 2024. The session aimed to address the growing concern over the disease's potential to become a global pandemic. Three informative lectures were delivered during the session: Dr. Nazim Alawi Al-Shaheri, Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance, discussed the disease's reality versus the surrounding rumors. Assistant Lecturer Haqi Yassin Ismail provided insights into the disease's pathogenicity and incubation period. Assistant Lecturer Fatima Wasfi Mustafa focused on the symptoms, complications, and available treatments for monkeypox. The session provided valuable information to attendees and contributed to raising awareness about this important public health issue.
