Opening Session of the First Alnoor International Conference on Arabic Narratives at Alnoor University

Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and with the presence of the Governor of Nineveh, Abdulqader Al-Dakhil, the First Alnoor International Conference on Arabic Narratives commenced on the morning of Wednesday, October 9, 2024. The conference, organized by Alnoor University in collaboration with the Ninawa Union of Writers and Authors, opened with welcoming and introductory speeches. Governor Abdulqader Al-Dakhil delivered an important comprehensive speech, followed by a speech from Professor Dr. Khazal Fathi Zaidan on behalf of the university president, Professor Dr. Yaseen Taha Al-Hajjar. The Iraqi poet, Omar Al-Saray, Secretary-General of the General Union of Writers and Authors in Iraq, then delivered the union’s speech. Assistant Professor Dr. Ismail Abdulwahab, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, concluded the session with the preparatory committee’s speech, which he chaired.
