A faculty member from the College of Dentistry at Alnoor University participates in the discussion of a graduate student at the University of Mosul.

Dr. Bashar Abdul Ghani Tawfiq , a faculty member in the Dentistry in the Dentistry Department at Alnoor University, participated in the examination committee for a master's student at the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul. The student, Anas Mohammed Younis, presented his thesis titled "Comparison of Different Doses of Vitamin D3 Spray in the Healing of Oral Mucosal Wounds – An Experimental Study" in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery branch.
The thesis focused on the use of Vitamin D3 spray in the healing of wounds related to oral surgery. It concluded that oral Vitamin D3 spray
 significantly improves the healing of mucosal wounds and could be used as an important therapeutic agent to enhance wound healing in surgical procedures.
The discussion committee, which took place on Thursday, December 26, 2024, was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Rayan Salem Hamid, Dean of the College of Dentistry at the University of Mosul. The committee members included Assistant Professor Dr. Manar Muzafar Anwar, Assistant Professor Dr. Noor Abdullah Suleiman, and Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Saleh Khader.
At the end of the discussion, the Dean of the College awarded Dr. Bashar Abdul Ghani a certificate of appreciation.
