The Northern Region University Qualifiers are hosted by Alnoor University.

With the support of Alnoor University, which secured first place in the Ninawa Governorate University Debates as part of the Iraqi Universities Championship, and in collaboration with the International Academy for Leadership and Development, the university hosted the Northern Region University Debates. The event was attended by Professor Dr. Yaseen Taha Al-Hajjar President of Alnoor University, Mrs. Arivan Mahdi Haji, a member of the Ninawa governate Council,
and His Excellency Archbishop of the Chaldean Archdiocese of Mosul and its Dependencies, Mar Benedictos Yonan Hano.
The competition took place on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, with the participation of students from Alnoor University, Tikrit University, Kirkuk University, and Al-Ma'arif University.
The event included a speech from the host university, delivered by Professor Dr. Yaseen Taha Al-Hajjar, President of Alnoor University, and a speech from Dr. Moaz Salem Abdulrahman, representing the overseeing body of the championship. A video showcasing the modern view of Alnoor University was then presented, followed by a video of the debates prepared by the International Academy for Leadership and Development. Additionally, Assistant Lecturer Saad Al-Saleh provided a presentation on the format and procedure of the competition.
