Under the supervision and organization of the Continuing Education Division at the Presidency of Alnoor University, the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies held a workshop on skin fungi and their impact on humans. The workshop took place on Wednesday morning, January 22, 2025, and was led by Dr. Nazim Alawi Al-Shahri , a faculty member in the department. In his lecture, Dr. Al-Shahri discussed these microorganisms, their transmission, and the symptoms of infection. He concluded that these fungi affect society by increasing healthcare burdens and causing embarrassment and social isolation for affected individuals. Therefore, early prevention and treatment are essential to maintaining the health of individuals and the community.
