In collaboration between Alnoor University and the University of Mosul, Helwan University in Cairo hosted the first international conference on the use of artificial intelligence tools.
The conference proceedings began on the morning of Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the Egyptian Palace of Culture and Arts conference hall, with the national anthems of Egypt and Iraq being played. The session started with a speech by Dr. Haidar Abdul Zahid, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education in Iraq, followed by a speech by Dr. Qahtan Taha Khalaf, the Iraqi Ambassador to Egypt. This was followed by a speech by Professor Dr. Yaseen Taha Al-Hajjar , President of Alnoor University. Next, Professor Dr. Munir Al-Badrani, Vice President of the University of Mosul for Scientific Affairs, gave a speech about the University of Mosul. Professor Dr. Said Ibrahim Qandil, President of Helwan University, also delivered a speech on behalf of the host university. Finally, Professor Dr. Parabash Viktor Vladimirovich, Dean of the Faculty of Philology at the Russian University of RUDN, delivered a speech on behalf of the participants.
The conference aims to highlight the role of artificial intelligence in advancing scientific research and improving its quality.
It also seeks to discuss the latest technologies and key innovations in the field, as well as to strengthen collaboration among researchers from various countries through scientific sessions and workshops that will address multiple topics, including ethical challenges of artificial intelligence, improving research quality, and the importance of scientific innovation.
The conference has seen distinguished participation from researchers and academics from several countries, including Egypt, Iraq, Indonesia, Russia, Iran, Jordan, and Turkey, in addition to the signing of memorandums of understanding between the participating universities.
The conference will also include a series of scientific sessions and lectures covering topics on artificial intelligence in the natural and social sciences, education, healthcare, and industry, alongside the presentation of many research papers related to artificial intelligence.
