Alnoor University Library
The university library is considered one of the important pillars that supports the academic journey. Without it, it would be difficult for students to accomplish their research and studies, as the library is a source of knowledge for learners. For this reason, the administration of Alnoor University College has worked to establish a library that contains a wide range of books related to various fields of specialization, sciences, and literature, in addition to theses and dissertations, international periodicals, and journals. The library’s resources are continuously updated with the latest books and academic curricula, some of which are provided by the college administration, while others come in the form of gifts and donations from faculty members, staff, students, or other sources, making them readily available for students and researchers.
The library follows an open-shelf system, allowing users to have close access to the books relevant to their fields of study or those closely related to them, instead of the formalities imposed by the closed-shelf system. The library is divided into various sections and specializations, including medical and scientific books and research, law and political science books, Arabic language and literature, novels, sports and physical activities, psychology, and religious books.
The university library consists of a spacious hall with several tables, which students visit daily in search of peace and quiet. They spend most of their time there to study, review their curricula, or enjoy their free time reading novels, stories, and the like.
As part of ongoing efforts to enhance the library’s services, Alnoor College aims to digitize its collection as a first step toward creating an electronic library that will include the latest global publications of books and references.
