Sustainable consumption and production patterns are related to promoting resource and energy efficiency, maintaining infrastructure sustainability, providing access to basic services, creating decent and environmentally friendly job opportunities, and improving quality of life for all. Implementing sustainable consumption and production patterns helps achieve comprehensive development plans, reduce future economic, environmental, and social costs, enhance economic competitiveness, and alleviate poverty.
