As part of Al-Noor University's commitment to contribute to peacebuilding efforts and equip its staff with the necessary expertise to understand the mechanisms of harnessing laws towards serving peace, Dr. Sahbaa Nizar, a lecturer at the College of Law, and Marwa Al-Jubouri, the relations manager at the university's presidency, were delegated to attend the activities of the training workshop. They were accompanied by a group of academics, civil society activists, and representatives from some government departments. The workshop focused on strengthening civil societies and the rule of low in Iraq as a peacebuilding tool. The course was organized by Mercy Organization in collaboration with the International Geneva Center in Erbil and took place from May 6th to May 10th, 2024.
