The Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department at Al-Noor University participates as a member of the PhD thesis defense committee.

Dr. Taha Hussein Ali Al-Salem, Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, Al-Noor University, participated in the PhD thesis defense committee for the candidate Luay Mousa Rawi in the Department of Applied Geology at the College of Sciences, Tikrit University. The thesis was titled "Preliminary Geological Engineering Assessment of the Proposed Dam Site in Wadi Al-Jafr, Northern Salahaddin Governorate, Iraq."
The defense took place on the morning of Wednesday, August 14, 2024, with the committee chaired by Professor Dr. Raad Hubi Arzouqi from Tikrit University. The committee members included Professor Dr. Mahmoud Fadhil Abd, Assistant Professor Dr. Yassin Saleh Karim, Assistant Professor Dr. Akram Hassan Abd,
Professor Dr. Mohammed Rashid Abboud, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Hamad Mohammed, all from Tikrit University.
