The Assistant President of Alnoor University for Scientific Affairs and the Director of Cultural Relations visit a delegation of Archaeological Tourism students in Istanbul.

Professor Dr. Ismail Abdulwahhab IsmailAssistant President of Alnoor University for Scientific Affairs, andDr. Mohammed Zuhair Zaidan, Director of Cultural Relations, visited the university delegation of Archaeological Tourism students at their accommodation in Istanbul.

The visitors met with Dr. Nabil Nour al-Din Hussein, head of the delegation, where they listened to a detailed presentation on the students training program and the evaluation of their visits to archaeological and tourist sites in Turkey. They also reviewed the practical training carried out by the students in the field of tourism and archaeological guidance within Istanbul’s cultural heritage sites, aimed at enhancing their academic and practical experience and linking theoretical knowledge with practical application.

On the sidelines of the visit, the delegation also met with the staff of the Lamasu Organization, headed by Dr. Omar Jassam, which serves as the archaeological arm of Alnoor University. During the meeting, they discussed the outcomes of the university delegation’s visit to the Republic of Turkey and reviewed opportunities for academic and cultural cooperation in the fields of archaeology and tourism, in addition to exploring prospects for developing international partnerships to support the scientific mission of Alnoor University.

In this context, Professor Dr. Ismail Abdulwahhab Ismail said:
“This visit represents an important step in developing our students’ practical skills, reflecting the university’s commitment to linking its academic curricula with field training programs that enhance their experience and prepare them to enter the Iraqi tourism and archaeological job market.”

For his part, Dr. Omar Jassam, Head of the Lamasu Organization, emphasized:
