Alnoor Center for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage Holds a Scientific Workshop on the Art of Mesopotamian Inlay
The Alnoor Center for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage organized, on Monday 22/12/2025, a scientific workshop in cooperation with the Laboratory of Oriental Archaeology at the University of Lyon in France, entitled:
“The Potential of Employing Mesopotamian Inlay Art in Heritage Preservation and the Promotion of Archaeological Tourism
The workshop was held under the supervision of Dr. Nabil Nour Aldin, Director of the Center, and was delivered by Dr. Hala Marouki, a researcher at the Laboratory of Oriental Archaeology at the University of Lyon. The lecture addressed specialized academic themes focusing on the role of Mesopotamian inlay art in safeguarding cultural heritage and highlighting its cultural and touristic value
The workshop witnessed the attendance of Dr. wael ali ahmed Alnahhas Dean of the College of arts At the university, Professor Dr. Ahmed Qasim Aljumaa, Head of the Department of Archaeological Tourism at the College of Arts, along with a number of faculty members, researchers, and those interested in heritage affairs, within the framework of strengthening international academic cooperation and exchanging expertise in the field of cultural heritage preservation.
