In the presence of the French consul, the Center for Linguistics at Alnoor University participates in a cultural and intellectual workshop at the French Cultural Institute

A thought workshop was held at the French-Iraqi Cultural Institute, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mohammad Basel Alazzawi ,The Director of the Linguistics Center at Alnoor University, titled: "Lawrence of Arabia and Charles de Foucauld: Myth and Reality in the Arab Mashreq and Maghreb
The workshop was presented by: Assistant Professor Dr. Haseeb Ilyas Hadeed,Dr. Mohammed Zuhair Zaidan,the faculty members in the Department of Translation College of arts At Alnoor University, they engaged in a critical analysis of the mythical and historical dimensions of the figures of T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) and Charles de Foucauld, highlighting their influence on orientalist discourse as well as on the cultural and political contexts of both the Middle East and North Africa. The workshop was attended by the French Consul in Mosul, Mr. Fabrice Déblation, alongside a group of academics, researchers, and individuals interested in intellectual and cultural affairs, who contributed to enriching the session with valuable scientific discussions and interventions. At the conclusion of the workshop, the importance of organizing such academic events was emphasized, as they promote critical scholarly dialogue and open new avenues for understanding history and its mutually shared cultural representations between East and West.
