Alnoor University supports a documentary project in the art of photography

The e-Governance Complex in Mosul hosted the launch and signing ceremony of the book “Camera Biography: Photographic Narratives”, attended by an elite audience led by the French Consul General Fabrice Déplochan and a group of academics and intellectuals. The event highlighted the pivotal institutional role of University of Alnoor, as the supporting and sponsoring body for the book’s production and final publication. The university’s direct support contributed to completing all the executive aspects related to its release, ensuring the presentation of a comprehensive work that combines high artistic and linguistic quality.
also undertook Dr. Mohammed Zuhair Zaidan,The Director of Cultural Relations at Alnoor University is tasked with translating the book into French, as part of the effort to convey this cultural achievement to the Francophone world and to enhance the presence of Mosuli literary and artistic output on the international stage, giving the work a communicative dimension that reflects the university’s openness to global cultural partnerships.
The event also witnessed the attendance of Dr. nabil nooraldeen husseinthe Director of Alnoor Center for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage at Alnoor University, whose presence represented a confirmation of the integration of efforts among the university's various institutions in supporting projects for the preservation of tangible and intangible heritage, and in promoting initiatives that document the city's cultural memory and present it with a contemporary scientific and artistic vision.
This achievement, realized through a joint collaboration between the Iraqi-French Cultural Institute, the Fajr Alhadbaa Foundation, the E-Governance Complex, and Alnoor University, managed to present a distinguished portrayal of Mosuli literary and artistic production by combining the lens of the artist Anwar Aldarwish with the texts of Professor Dr. Ahmed Jarallah, in three global languages: Arabic, French, and English. On his part, Mr. Fabrice Déploshan expressed his great admiration for this work, emphasizing that it represents a qualitative addition to the French library, which lacks reference works on Iraqi literature and art. In doing so, the book serves as a cultural bridge that reinforces the presence of local identity on international platforms—a goal the university continuously seeks to uphold through its support of creative initiatives in the city.
