Students of Construction Engineering and Project Management at Alnoor University explore one of their future fields of work during a scientific field trip

With the aim of enhancing the practical aspect and linking academic study to real-world application, the Department of Construction Engineering and Project Management organized College of Engineering At Alnoor University, on the morning of Sunday April 19, 2026, a scientific field trip was organized for first-year students to the Badoush Cement Plant, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Saad Altaan The Dean of the College of Engineering, accompanied by a number of faculty members from the department.
During the visit, the students were introduced to the working mechanisms inside the plant and the stages of cement production, starting from the extraction of raw materials, passing through the grinding and firing (kiln) processes, and ending with packaging and distribution. This gave them an opportunity to closely observe a real working environment and gain first-hand insight into the requirements of the labor market in this field.
The students also listened to a detailed explanation from the technical and engineering staff at the plant regarding the modern technologies used, the adopted occupational safety procedures, as well as the challenges facing the cement industry sector.
This scientific trip comes as part of a series of academic activities organized by the department, aiming to develop students’ skills and enhance their practical experience, which contributes to preparing engineering staff capable of efficiently entering the labor market after graduation.
