Assistant Professor Dr. Ismail Abdul Wahhab attended, representing Alnoor University, the closing session of the 6th edition of the Abu Tammam Poetry Festival, which was sponsored by Alnoor University. This session was held on the evening of Sunday, 2/6/2024, at the Totonji House located in the Qatannin area on the right side of the city. This historic house, with a lifespan exceeding two and a third centuries, embodies the distinctive and unique architectural style of Mosul. The evening featured several poetry readings, culminating in a panel discussion dedicated to the renowned Iraqi composer Jaafar Al-Khafaji, moderated by the creative artist Mohammed Zaki. The discussion highlighted Al-Khafaji's musical journey and his most notable achievements. The closing ceremony also included a presentation on the festival's main activities and ideas. Alnoor University honored the occasion by presenting one of the festival's shields, prepared by the writer Talal Hassan, which was received by Dr. Ismail Abdul Wahhab on behalf of the university president. Subsequently, shields and certificates were presented to supporting and participating entities.
