Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Yaseen Taha Al-Hajjar , President of Alnoor University, and the supervision of the Women's Affairs Division, female members of the Women’s Affairs Liaison Units at the university, in collaboration with the Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Mosul, carried out an awareness-raising, educational, and voluntary campaign on Sunday, December 8, 2024. The campaign, continuing the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, involved distributing cards and posters. The cards featured messages encouraging women to rely on themselves, face the challenges they encounter from their surroundings and society, and emphasize the need to stop all forms of violence against them. The materials were distributed in the courtyards of Alnoor University. Additionally, orange-colored pins and wristbands, symbolizing the fight against violence towards women, were given to all participants and students.
