Alnoor University is on the verge of hosting the largest event among the universities of Nineveh.

Alnoor University, as the official sponsor and host of the Iraqi Universities Debate Championship, is preparing to host the qualifiers for universities in Nineveh Governorate. The event is organized by the International Academy for Leadership and Development in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It will take place on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Alnoor University.
Seven universities from Nineveh Governorate will participate, including Alnoor University, the University of Mosul, the Northern Technical University, the University of Nineveh, the University of Al-Hadba, the University of Hamdania, and the University of Tal Afar.

After completing the provincial rounds, the second phase will bring together the champions of each province into four regions: the Southern, Central, Baghdad, and Northern regions, with the Northern region's championship also hosted by Alnoor University.

Over 90 universities from all over Iraq will participate in the event, and the regional champions will be nominated to compete in international tournaments to represent Iraq.
