Hosted by Alnoor University and with its support, the activities of the Iraqi Universities Debate have commenced, featuring the competition among universities in Nineveh Governorate.

In the presence of Professor Dr. Osama Almashhadani, President of the University of Nineveh, Professor Dr. Aqeel Yahya Alaraji, President of the University of Hamdaniya, Professor Dr. Yaseen Taha Al-Hajjar The President of Alnoor University inaugurates the Second Iraqi Universities Debate World Cup hosted by Alnoor University In the presence of Alnoor University President, Professor Dr. Yaseen Taha Alhajjar; Professor Dr. Munir Albadrani, Assistant President of the University of Mosul for Scientific Affairs; the Turkish Consul General in Nineveh; Dr. Bashar Mahmoud; Professor Dr. Basma Ahmed, representative of Alqabas University College; Mr. Muhannad Aljubouri and Ms. Sumaya Alkhabouri, members of the Nineveh Provincial Council; the Assistant Presidents of Alnoor University for Administrative and Scientific Affairs; and a number of deans from universities across Nineveh Governorate, the activities of the Iraqi Universities Debate World Cup commenced at Alnoor University. The championship is organized by the World Organization for Leadership and Development, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and is being hosted by Alnoor University for the second consecutive edition, following its successful hosting of the inaugural edition. The event brings together competitors from eight public and private universities. The opening ceremony began with a speech by Professor Dr. Yaseen Taha Alhajjar, followed by remarks from the tournament supervisor, Dr. Muath Salem Abdulrahman. A commemorative Debate World Cup Shield was then presented to Alnoor University by the tournament coordinator and received by the University President. The program continued with the screening of an introductory video highlighting both editions of the Debate World Cup, followed by a detailed briefing on the competition procedures. The opening session concluded with the official draw, during which participating teams were allocated into their respective groups.
