Alnoor University: A Key Hub for an Association Affiliated with the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils

By a decision from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Alnoor University has been designated as a hub for the Association of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, which is affiliated with the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils. It is noteworthy that Alnoor University houses a unique academic department that bridges two important sectors—the Department of Archaeological Tourism within the College of ArtsAdditionally, the university annually organizes a scientific and cultural event titled "Mosuli Heritage Day", coinciding with the anniversary of the destruction of the Great Al-Nuri Mosque's Al-Hadba Minaret. This event aims to highlight the essence of Mosuli heritage, promote its unique characteristics, and revitalize scientific research in this field. Furthermore, Alnoor University is actively working towards the establishment of Alnoor Center for Archaeological and Heritage Studies to further strengthen its role in preserving and researching cultural heritage.
