Darwish Rasho Darwish, a student at Alnoor University and a participant in the Iraqi Universities Debate World Cup, achieved a remarkable distinction by being ranked among the top ten speakers nationwide. This recognition came as a result of his outstanding performance in the Nineveh and Northern Region debate qualifiers.
Alnoor University was also awarded the Shield of Excellence in recognition of its role as the official sponsor of the Iraqi Universities Debate Championship and host of the Nineveh and Northern Region qualifiers. The shield was received on behalf of the university by Saad Saleh Diyab , a faculty member at the College of Engineering It is worth noting that Alnoor University's debate team earned the title of Champion of Nineveh Universities, representing Nineveh Province in the Northern Region qualifiers as the provincial champion, competing against universities from the governorates of Kirkuk, Salah Al-Din, and Anbar.
The championship concluded on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, and was organized by the International Academy for Leadership and Development, sponsored by Alnoor University, hosted by the University of Technology, and held under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
