The Women's Affairs Division at Alnoor University organized an awareness workshop titled "The Role of Women in Peace and Security: Challenges and Opportunities" on Wednesday. The event was supervised and conducted by Dr. walaa abdulwahed abdulaziz Head of the Women's Affairs Division at Alnoor University and a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy Dr. Al-Jawadi emphasized that women play a vital role in achieving peace and security at both local and international levels. The international community has recognized this role through United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, issued in the year 2000, which stresses the importance of women's participation in peace processes and decision-making. This resolution was the first to acknowledge the essential role of women in peace and security and highlighted the necessity of involving them in decision-making during conflicts and post-conflict phases.
