The Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Health and Medical Technologies at Alnoor University organized a seminar entitled “Sponsorship and Protection of Working Women’s Rights”, based on the pillar of participation and institutional reform – Axis (4): the importance of legal and administrative amendments aimed at ensuring women’s rights in the workplace.
The seminar was moderated by Dr. walaa abdulwahed abdulaziz Head of Women’s Affairs at the university,
and the lecture was delivered by Dr. muna taher mohammed a faculty member in the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques at the college.
It explained that the right to work is one of the most essential aspects of human life, as it is a need and an internal readiness within a person, linked to the core of psychological life. She emphasized that women's work and their participation alongside men in professional life has become highly significant, as the working woman is an added and multiplied force in collective work. Therefore, support and protection must be provided to women in society through:
Protection of motherhood and related rights
Equality and non-discrimination based on gender and social status
Provision of a safe environment free from harassment through necessary legal protections
