President of Alnoor University Receives Students Who Achieved Distinguished Positions in Iraqi Competitions

Prof. Dr. Yaseen Taha Al-Hajjar, The President of Al-Noor University Receives Outstanding Students Recognized in National Competitions On the morning of Sunday, March 23, 2025, Professor Dr. Yaseen Taha Al-Hajjar, President of Al-Noor University, welcomed two groups of distinguished students to his official office. These students had achieved notable standings for the university in nationwide competitions among public and private universities and colleges across Iraq, in the fields of culture and sports. He received the basketball team, which returned with a participation shield after securing 5th place in the Iraqi Universities 3×3 Basketball Championship, held at Ashur University from March 9 to 13.
He also welcomed the group of students who returned with the Excellence Shield following their outstanding participation in the University Photography Festival held at Al-Mustaqbal University. Both teams presented their shields to the President of the University, who placed them in the university’s permanent exhibition museum, as a gesture of gratitude and pride in the university’s continuous support for creativity in all its forms.
It is worth noting that both the championship and the festival are national competitions launched by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the participation of 55 public and private universities and colleges in each event. The meeting was also attended by the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs and the Director of the Student Activities Department.
