A Faculty Member from the College of Arts at Alnoor University Participates in a PhD Defense at the University of Mosul

Assistant Professor Asst. Prof. nazim younis salih a faculty member in the Department of Translation at the College of arts participated as a member of the defense committee for the PhD candidate Ashraf Abdulrazaq Saeed Al-Hasso from the Department of Translation, College of Arts, University of Mosul. The candidate presented his dissertation titled:
 ( the translation of English metaphoricity in churchill’s diaries into arab
The study focused on the challenges of translating metaphors found in Winston Churchill’s diaries into Arabic.
It aimed to identify the obstacles translators face when handling metaphors, assess whether the metaphors were rendered in the same style and form, and explore the reasons behind any differences in translation outcomes.
