A faculty member from Alnoor University serves as a member of a PhD dissertation defense committee at the University of Mosul.

Assistant Professor Dr. Ismail Ibrahim Daod a faculty member at Alnoor University, participated as a member of the PhD dissertation defense committee (A Comparative Molecular Study on Carbapenemase Enzymes in Gram-Negative Bacilli Isolated from Various Sources) Submitted by student Najla Ahmed Suleiman Al-Sharifi to the Department of Biology, College of Science, University of Mosul.
The dissertation investigated the epidemiological, phenotypic, and molecular presence of beta-lactamase enzymes, especially carbapenemases, known for their high ability to break down most beta-lactam antibiotics.
The study included bacterial isolates from clinical, environmental, and veterinary sources, within the framework of the “One Health Approach,”
which emphasizes the interconnectedness of humans, animals, and the environment in the spread of antimicrobial resistance.
At the end of the defense, Dr. Ismail Ibrahim Al-Sinjari received a certificate of appreciation from the college deanery.
