The Head of the Digital Media Department at the College of Arts, Alnoor University, chairs the master's thesis defense committee of a graduate student in Najaf Al-Ashraf.

Professor Dr. Yas Khudair Al-Bayati, Head of the Digital Media Department at the College of Arts, Alnoor University, chaired the master’s thesis defense committee of graduate student Ziyad Ali Omar Tah. The student submitted his thesis to the Media Department at Al-Ameed Institute for Graduate Studies in Najaf. The thesis was titled: “The Effectiveness of Security Media in Combating Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism – A Survey Study on a Sample of University Youth.”
The defense was held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in the main hall of the institute. A distinguished group of academics and experts participated in the session. The committee included Professor Dr. Fadel Al-Badrani, Deputy Minister of Culture; Professor Dr. Amer Hassan Fayadh, former Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad; and Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdul Majid, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Zaman newspaper.
The session featured an in-depth discussion on the role of security media in confronting extremist ideologies. It also highlighted the importance of media awareness strategies in enhancing community security. The researcher presented insights and analyses based on field studies exploring the impact of media on the mindset of university youth.
