A faculty member at Alnoor University publishes a new joint research paper in an international journal indexed in Scopus.

Assistant Professor Dr. Theia'a Najim Abdullah Al-Sabha , a faculty member in the Department of Optics at the College of Health and Medical Technologies at Alnoor University, has published a research paper titled:

Transfer Complex Formation Reaction
 in the Pakistan Journal of Analytical and Environmental Chemistry (Pak. J. Anal. Environ. Chem), which is indexed in Scopus.
 The paper is co-authored with researcher Hind Abdulwahab Al-Azzawi from the Department of Chemistry, College of Science at Tikrit University. The study presents a novel and simple spectrophotometric method for the determination of the drug Trimethoprim, based on the formation of an n-π charge transfer complex between the drug and o-chloranil in an ethanolic medium. The method was successfully applied to determine the drug in both its pure form and its pharmaceutical tablet formulation with high selectivity.
