Hosted by Alnoor University, the activities of the Youth Model United Nations have concluded.

The Iraqi Youth Model United Nations concluded the activities of its annual international conference, which was held from June 21 to 29, 2025, hosted and supported by Alnoor University. The conference witnessed the participation of a distinguished group of international representatives from prominent global universities, including: Mr. David Lee, representative of the University of Oxford, United Kingdom Ms. Daria Kiseleva, representative of Sciences Po, France Ms. Eva, representative of the University of Piraeus, Greece

The conference program was structured around three main themes:
First Theme: Training
It extended over the course of three days and included intensive sessions to train the youth delegations in diplomatic work skills, which included: how to write a position paper, deliver formal speeches, negotiation techniques, problem analysis and solution development, in addition to practical training on drafting a resolution.
Second Axis: The Official Opening Ceremony
It witnessed the attendance of prominent figures, including:
MP Mansour Al-Mareed
Mr. Omar Nameq Al-Mulla, Deputy Governor of Nineveh for Technical Affairs
Mr. Tamam Al-Obaidi, representative of volunteer teams and the Supreme Council for Youth
Dr. Yassin Taha Al-Hajjar, President of Alnoor University
Dr. Mohammed Zuhair Zidan, Director of Cultural Relations at Alnoor University
International university representatives also participated, emphasizing the importance of strengthening academic and diplomatic partnerships with Iraqi youth.
Third Axis: Conference Sessions
During this phase, the participating youth diplomats represented 68 Arab and foreign countries, where they discussed the topic:
Combating Human Trafficking During Armed Conflicts and Crises
This took place within the sessions of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Committee.
On the final day, the draft resolution prepared by the participants was put to a vote and was officially submitted to the relevant office of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, for the purpose of reviewing it and selecting its key points to be adopted as actionable proposals.
