Delegations from Iraqi universities visit Bahçeşehir University in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to explore prospects for scientific and academic cooperation.
In the framework of opening up to regional and global universities and enhancing international academic partnerships, official delegations from several Iraqi universities—including Alnoor University, Northern Technical University, Central Technical University, National University, and Future University—visited the campus of Bahçeşehir University in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Alnoor University was represented in this visit by Professor Dr. Ismail Abdulwahhab Ismail,Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs;Dr. Mohammed Zuhair Zaidan, Director of Cultural Relations. They held a series of meetings with the leadership of the host university, as well as several deans and heads of academic departments.
They discussed the prospects for future cooperation between the two sides, in accordance with the mechanisms and standards approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq, in several key areas, most notably student and faculty exchange programs.
Organizing joint conferences and scientific seminars.
Collaboration in scientific research and publishing studies in reputable journals.
Exchanging expertise in the development of academic curricula and study programs.
The visiting delegations also conducted a field tour of the university, which included academic departments, specialized laboratories, and administrative units, where they observed the available facilities and the advanced level of infrastructure and educational services.
The university administration provided detailed explanations about the diverse academic programs offered to its students, as well as the community services provided to local residents.
This visit comes as part of Al-Noor University’s efforts to enhance its international presence and expand its network of academic relations, in line with its vision and mission to cultivate a generation distinguished in science and research, capable of contributing to community service and meeting the demands of the labor market.
